Instructors of IMU YDYO Attend MELT Conference


Instructors of School of Foreign Languages, Işıl Yanık, Tuba İnan and Yeliz Kızılay, have attended Marmara University English Language Teaching Conference (MELT Conference) held on October 11-12, 2019. Hosted by Marmara University, the two-day conference welcomed many scholars of English Language Teaching. 

The theme of the International MELT 2019 conference, ‘Changing Identities, Agencies and Mindsets: 21st Century English Language Learning and Teaching’ aimed to connect theory with practice by bringing together researchers, educators, and practitioners from all around the world with interests in EFL/ESL teacher education and teaching/learning of English.

On the first day of the conference Inst. Yeliz Kızılay presented her co-authored study entitled “Willingness to Communicate and EFL Speaking Achievement: The Case of Turkish Learners.” On the second day, Inst. Tuba İnan presented her co-authored study entitled “The Effect of Task Types on Raters Assessing EFL Speaking Performance.”
