The event titled “Future Ready: Redefining Teaching and Learning in the Age of AI”, organized by Pearson, was held on February 6, 2026, at the Koç University Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations (ANAMED). The event focused on the growing impact of artificial intelligence in education and featured significant insights into the future of teaching and learning.
Representing the School of Foreign Languages, Instructor Canan Köse and Instructor Şeyma Bakıcı attended the event.
Throughout the program, current approaches to the use of artificial intelligence in education, the transformation of teaching practices, and the future of learning environments were discussed.
As part of the event, Sara Davila delivered a presentation titled “Beyond the Algorithm: Aligning Learning for Future Success”, addressing AI-supported learning approaches. In addition, Dr. Paker Doğu Özdemir presented “Becoming a Generative AI-Ready University: MEF University’s Roadmap for Sustainable Change”, sharing insights into universities’ adaptation processes to generative AI.
Participants had the opportunity to evaluate the pedagogical dimensions of AI in education and explore innovative practices implemented by different institutions.
