IMU School of Foreign Languages Quality and Strategy Units Coordinator Dr. Yeliz KIZILAY participated in the event titled "UK-Türkiye Higher Education Dialogue: Advancing Internationalisation and Sustainable Development for Higher Education” hosted by Istanbul Technical University in cooperation with the British Council on 17.06.2025.
The event, which brought together academics, policy makers and leading stakeholders in the field of higher education from Turkey and the UK, provided an opportunity for an in-depth exchange of ideas on the development of international collaborations, joint academic programs and certification models, and academic mobility.
During the event, various panel discussions were held on SDG-oriented (Sustainable Development Goals) education models and suggestions were made for aligning curricula, mobility programs and research with the SDGs.
The future of AI and internationalization was also discussed, with expert academics sharing their views on the question “Can AI help institutions expand their global reach without compromising academic quality or cultural context?”.
The highly productive event ended with participant comments and suggestions followed by good wishes.
