For students admitted to our university through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS), a Placement Exam (DBS) will be held on September 22, 2025. The results of the DBS will be announced as soon as possible after the exam. Students who score 80 or above in the DBS will take the Proficiency Exam (YS) in three sessions on the afternoon of September 22, 2025 and on September 23, 2025.
The exam dates and times for all languages are as follows:
Placement Exam (DBS):
Content: Listening, Language Use (grammar and vocabulary), and Reading.

The DBS exam lists will be published on the School of Foreign Languages website after the completion of the DGS registration period.
Results Announcement: DBS results will be announced on the same day (Monday, September 22, 2025) on the School of Foreign Languages website before the Proficiency Exam. Students who score 80 or above in the DBS will be eligible to take the Proficiency Exam.

1st Session: Listening and Reading

*Students will take the speaking exam starting from 14:00 according to appointment times, which will be announced later on the School of Foreign Languages website.
Note: The exam rooms, exam lists, and speaking exam appointment times for all Proficiency Exam sessions will be announced on the School of Foreign Languages website after the DBS results. Please make sure to check our official website regularly.
Important Reminders:
- Students who pass the Proficiency Exam will start directly in their departments. Those who do not pass will be placed in preparatory program classes according to their DBS scores.
- Students must be present in the exam rooms at the specified dates and times. Exam rooms, class lists, and speaking exam times will be announced on the School of Foreign Languages website. Students are required to check the page before the exam.
- Student ID checks will be carried out at campus entrances and in exam rooms. Latecomers will not be admitted. Students who have not yet received their student ID can attend the exam with a student certificate obtained from the student affairs office or e-government system.
- Since latecomers will not be admitted to the exams, students are kindly requested to be sensitive to possible transportation issues and delays and be present in the school building at least 30 minutes before the exam times. It is also strongly recommended that you visit the building/campus beforehand to avoid difficulties on the exam day.
