The Project Community of Istanbul Medeniyet University successfully completed the project named Python 101 from February 2 to February 23, 2022. This project, conducted online, included 150 participants. Python 101 aimed to encourage participants to take their first steps in computer programming. The introductory programming training was provided by Enes Çağrı Bayraktutan.
The Python 101 project was organized as a two-lesson program per week. Each lesson covered fundamental programming concepts such as data types, control flow, loops, functions, and libraries, providing participants with interactive learning experiences. Additionally, after each lesson, sample solutions were presented to reinforce the participants' understanding of the learned material. As part of the project, participants were given assignments to encourage practical work. Participants not only gained basic knowledge in programming at the beginner level but also had the opportunity to develop problem-solving, logical thinking, and analytical skills.
This project presented an important opportunity for the development of knowledge and skills, catering to a wide target audience. It brought together participants from different universities, various departments, and different age groups, extending beyond the boundaries of the university. Especially those who had never been exposed to programming before made significant progress by learning basic programming skills during the event.
