Just like every year, IMU Modern Dance Community organized dance lessons starting from October. These classes, taught by Ege Konakoğlu, a student at our university and one of the founders of IMU Modern Dance Society, took place in the foyer area of Building K in the North Campus, focusing on the Hip Hop genre twice a week.
Ege Konakoğlu, who has been involved in dance for many years, works not only as a dance instructor but also as a choreographer and actor. He has received training from numerous instructors both domestically and internationally and has achieved various successes in the competitions he has participated in. He continues to share his expertise as an instructor in the Modern Dance Community, of which he is a founder. Through these weekly classes, the community aimed to bring the inclusive aspect of dance to the educational environment of the university and gather students under one roof. Equal opportunities were provided to every student, regardless of gender, language, race, or any other distinction, allowing them to acquire a new talent. External students were also allowed to enroll in dance classes, contributing to the university's recognition and quality by promoting self-improvement, socialization, and showcasing their university.
Throughout the year, IMU Modern Dance Community not only imparted new skills to the students through these dance lessons but also ensured their enjoyment and socialization.
